We would definitely recommend Clarendon carpentry to anyone else thinking about having a loft conversion because it was such a pain free process.

Having talked to other people about what you could have, we are really, really amazed at how much space we’ve got. It’s so much bigger than we’d imagined when we first started out.

When John and the team got started it was fine. The fact that they worked from the outside in, meant that they were hardly ever in the house, so for us that was perfect.

Something that was important for us is that John is a specialist, if people choose Clarendon Carpentry then they’ve got someone who is possibly more experienced than just about anybody else in the area, in terms of loft conversions.

… the staircase that John designed just continues to give us pleasure and people still say ‘wow!’ It looks like it’s always been here.

The best thing is the dormer and the big window. We really enjoy having the space, it’s wonderful!

“He had his team of professionals and they were all excellent. We didn’t have to deal with anybody like the plasterers and decorators separately, John orchestrated it all. “

“One of the big benefits for us was that john was so local and he has a good network of people that he can call on. I’ve already recommended John to other people who are thinking of having their loft done!”

Our loft conversion really has given us a new lease of life in this house and it’s so much more cost effective than moving house. It really has been just a brilliant thing for us to have done, full stop.

“He did the job he said he was going to do in the time that he said he’d do it, which is very important. He also made sure that noise was kept to a minimum where possible and tidied away tools and equipment at the end of every day.”
